Composing Practices
Besides remixing songs and live DJ, I often use my knowledge of composing EDM that I learn to create my own music. I wouldn’t say I required comprehensive skills and techniques to make music that has my own style or making music that is highly professional in the electronic-oriented field. But with the experience I have, I have the confidence to present my decent work of “doodling” the notes and keys in order to contribute my skills to music. Here is my previous work. Production Method:
For audio, Use different Sample packs and sounds from different synthesizers. Mixing with EQ, Sidechain, panning, and more techniques. Finalizing with Ozone mastering.
Style:
I name this piece “push” because the bassline was used to fit the melody movement. Each chord has a clear cut to divide the melody out in the session even tho it is a loop and the bassline serves to emphasize each session in the drop, creating a pushing effect for the musical movement. Therefore, a clear build-up and drop progression is indicated.
Arcade Mario

Production Method: Using different Sample packs and sounds from different synthesizers. Mixing with EQ, Sidechain, panning, and more techniques.
Style:
I was learning to use the blue notes to create the lead. However, I was not professional enough to create a blue soul aimed song due to my insufficient experience in working with blue lines. Thus, I decided to combine my melody with the 80s bassline and EDM progressive drop. That explained the turn of the melody in the middle of the song as the transition in a way of avoiding boring lead development. With all those elements combined, an old-school digital arcade game music effect was surprisingly generated. It is surely a fun experimental music production for me as a learn-purpose practice.

Style:
Avicii is a very talented EDM producer which was the reason for me to start my music learning of DJ and EDM composing. Therefore, during my study process, I took a lot of his style and chord movement, sound as my reference. This piece was my attempt to create music that has a similar atmosphere to his, especially the build-up of the whole progression.

Style:
This music piece was aimed to be produced for studio promotion. The long continuous rhythm shows the serious yet professional working vibe of the scene. When you heard the song, you can imagine a lot of media workers working seriously on a project in a studio.
