Working in Cardapp

Working in an innovative tech company, Cardapp gives me a great opportunity to understand the system development process and working methods of a tech company. Its vision is an inspirational goal, for me, to contribute to because of its high sustainability, and practicality, giving me a great insight into the further usability of internet-based digital tools.

As a designer, I was able to enhance my designing skills in a down-to-earth way, increasing my commercial-based aesthetic ability, and my produce efficiency. On the teamwork aspect, I managed to make a good communication balance between the design engineer and the backend machinist to achieve high-quality solutions and outcomes. I am glad to have this working experience.

Cardapp Limited

Established in 2011 in Hong Kong, CardApp was the first incubator of Mobile App Internet, graduated from Hong Kong Science Park with government funds, focusing on developing and operating SmartCommunity ECO-System.

CardApp’s core product “Cloud-based Interactive Community”(CIC) is a one-stop digital solution for property management, and a dynamic platform integrating IoT hardware, online payment, eCommerce, and O2O resources to create multiple innovative value-added services to end users.

Now the headquarters of CardApp is located in Hong Kong, and its R&D center is in Shenzhen, China. The communities served by CardApp are all over Hong Kong, Macau, Thailand, Mainland China, Philippines, covering residential estates, office buildings, hotels, malls, and campuses of property development giants.

My duties:

Project Development

Duty I:
UI style design
Design 3 styles or more of the App's icon, login page, homepage, and side menu for the client company to approve, served as the initial start-up of the project.
Duty II:
Construct UX functional flow
  • Create pantone color palette.
  • Build the App, Web, IoT UX functional flows.
  • Lay foundation for front and backend team.
    • Duty III:
    Product optimization
    Make detailed enhancement designs to improve products' quality or user interactive experiences in software and hardware application.
    Duty IV:
    Graphical product design
    Design graphical aspect of hardware products
    and draw drafts and illustrations of different IoT hardware products.
    Duty V:
    Manufacture of products' promotional materials
